FOUNDER/Speech Language Pathologist
Megan is the sole-owner and operator of Blacksmith Pediatric Speech Therapy. Megan founded her speech practice to meet a need for team-based, relationship-based speech therapy, especially for very young children with communication delays.
Megan values empowering parents to support their children at home and encourages a collaborative partnership with the people who have the biggest impact on their child’s communication…families, parents and caregivers! Megan creates a therapy environment that communicates kindness, openness, and growth….where families feel heard, listened to, and trusted. Her therapy approach focuses on connection and meaningful play, which creates a space where both you and your child want to be!
While Megan treats the wide spectrum of speech and language disorders her areas of expertise and passion include early language intervention, gestalt language learners, autism, and AAC (Alternative & Augmentative Communication or visual supports). She has dedicated years workings with school-aged children, pre-schoolers, and toddlers in private practice, charter & public schools and teletherapy settings.
Megan is a Utah licensed and ASHA certified speech language pathologist with a certificate of clinical competence. She graduated from the University of Utah with a master’s degree in speech language pathology. Megan enjoys spending time with her spouse, 2 year old son, and two dogs.
